Challenge

Arbidora Medical Trading, Overline's official distributor for the UAE and the Gulf, runs from Business Bay in Dubai and needed what the Baltic site already had — the full device catalogue, iSol cosmetics and a partner shop — for clinics that read Arabic, pay in dirhams, invoice under UAE VAT and reach their suppliers on WhatsApp. A translated copy would have become a second codebase drifting away from the first, and simply mirroring the stylesheet breaks every phone number, price and Latin model name inside an Arabic sentence.

Solution

  • One codebase, a second market: a region preset switches company, currency, VAT rate, time zone, languages and legal texts, and the Dubai site runs as its own instance with its own database and media storage
  • Arabic as a first-class language rather than a toggle — a right-to-left layout built on logical CSS properties, mirrored arrows and menus, IBM Plex Sans Arabic and El Messiri typefaces
  • Bidirectional text handled line by line: phone numbers, prices, addresses and Latin model names keep their own direction inside Arabic text
  • All 52 devices and the cosmetics range described in Arabic, English and Russian, with transactional emails in each language
  • Prices in AED and invoices under UAE rules — 5% VAT, the distributor's TRN turning the PDF into a Tax Invoice, dates on Dubai time and a separate numbering series
  • Privacy policy, terms and cookie policy written for UAE law in all three languages; GCC countries, trade licence and TRN at partner registration
  • Partner-only prices and ordering: a clinic registers, the distributor approves it, and only then do prices, cart and checkout open
  • WhatsApp button and contacts routed to the Dubai office, with a Business Bay map on the contacts page — the channel Gulf clients actually use
  • Region-specific share card and an English admin panel the distributor's team runs without a developer

Result

Overline's Gulf distributor got a site that reads natively in Arabic instead of looking like a mirrored European one: a clinic anywhere in the GCC can browse the whole range in its own language, register as a partner and receive a UAE tax invoice in dirhams. Because both markets share one codebase, every improvement made for the Baltic site reaches Dubai with the next deploy.
